Running with the Wolves

The Sacred
How does one describe seeing, experiencing this?
Wonderful, awesome, magnificent, incredible? I choose sacred. Because they take you up and along with them in spirit during their flight. We are humbled by something so majestic and beautiful.
It is sacred.

Creative videos
A lot of creative minds ride bikes. Not all get to see their creativity. Occasionally a few will shine through. Mordeth is a natural at documenting life and humor with a video camera. And he rides a Ninja.
A Canadian (Manitoba) living in Taiwan, the videos are informative and entertaining. This one had me rolling on the floor.

Icecapades
There's a fundamental and elementary rule of physics: frozen water, aka ice, has a very low coefficient of friction. [1] The coefficient of friction depends on the material of the objects in contact; for example, metal on ice has a low coefficient of friction (they slide past each other easily) whereas an automobile tire on tarmac has a higher coefficient.
Now, tires on ice are another matter; acceleration comes into play and a mess is often the result, especially with unexperienced or non-thinking drivers.

Palo Duro Canyon Slideshow
I have nothing better to do on this eve of Holiday, so I played with iPhoto, iDVD, and iMovie. The slideshows for the CanyonRun2006 and Palo Duro Canyon06 are done, complete with music. As an experiment, the Palo Duro slideshow was saved in Quicktime movie format and is quite good with most of the photo high resolution maintained. However, when uploaded to YouTube the format is compressed and quality goes downhill.....like an avalanche.
I hope to find an alternative to YouTube for hosting slideshows; the resolution just sucks badly. I feel offended; I humbly admit my photography is better than what is depicted there. Nevertheless, for the interim, the video is embedded below.
